I know the patriarchy is everywhere, fucking up everything but I didn't see how the patriarchy is everywhere. This book is interesting. I can't disagree with her arguments. She focuses on media -movies/book - but also current events and news stories/history (serial killers).

After reading this book I realize that in the ending of Game of Thrones the TV show,
Danni could never live because she's a danger to the patriarchy. Jon is the patriarchy's victory over another woman who tried to change the world.

This was the first purely feminist nonfiction I’ve read and I really liked it! I loved using horror media to explore femininity, sexism and the patriarchy. I’ll have to reread it with a highlighter in hand!
