Reading this book in my early 20s. As I read the first book in 2020, I wanted to read the sequel. I really think I'm not the target audience anymore. (was 19 when i read the 1st one). Honestly, I don't remember a lot from the first book but I think it was more fast paced and getting to know the characters was far more interesting.

I feel like in this book, they were no real character development and all I read was a teenage girl being absolutely in love with a guy (while he had a lot of  🚩🚩--> being violent toward other friends of theirs + his dad (even though he had reasons, violence is NEVER the answer)), it's like every chapter we got to know how cute he was and how in love she was. I don't mind character expressing their feelings (on the contrary), but it felt really forced, in my opinion.

The main reason I  kept reading this book, is the (sub)plot about the main character (the girl) and wanted to know more about what happened. Instead, I got a lot of (unnecessary) drama. I don't know if I'll read the last book of the trilogy.
