This book is a game-changer because it's the very first time Amo Jones and Meagan Brandy, two extraordinary authors, ventured into the realm of paranormal fantasy romance together. Let me tell you, they knocked it out of the park!

Their combined talent takes center stage in this remarkable novel. I was hooked from the get-go as they flawlessly blended elements of the paranormal with fated mates element and an enemies to lovers bully trope romance. The way they seamlessly wove magic, destiny, and fated love into the storyline left me spellbound.

But here's the real kicker: the relationship between Knight Deveraux and London is pure dynamite. Jones and Brandy brought their A-game, crafting a connection that crackles with undeniable chemistry. Every interaction between them had me on the edge of my seat, yearning for more.

This story not only showcases the authors' individual brilliance but also their ability to push the boundaries of the genre. Whether you're a fan of their individual works or craving an electrifying read, this collaboration is an absolute must. Trust me, you won't be able to put it down!

I enjoyed the plot of most of this book. Maybe it’s because I went into this book completely blind, but I had zero idea of what was going on at first. I thought I was reading a fantasy book, but then it was a hockey book, but then it was a fantasy book again. I had no idea what the royals were until the party with fae dust and wine, etc. Even then I wasn’t sure if they were shifters or what.

I found the FMC London pretty cool. She’s pretty nonchalant and very open about things. There were times when I thought she was a little over the top and whiny, but over all she was a decent FMC.

Knight was kind of annoying to me. He was super self righteous and just mostly a prick. I guess I can understand because that’s kind of the whole point of his character and what causes him to go through character development. I mean I could still enjoy the story throughout the book to keep interest.

I thought writing seem a little more childish and full of angst. I believe that’s what they were going for, but for me it was just a little over the top.

That being said, I did enjoy the book for the most part. I will be reading on to the second book, and I will say the plot twist kind of came from no where. So I’ll be interested to see where it goes.

When I saw these two got together for a paranormal story I was excited. This book was AMAZING! I couldn’t put it down. Every time I thought I figured something out nope twist. And that cliffhanger omg! I need book two now. This book was so hot and smexy and so twisted.

The time has come. I have decided to DNF this. I just can’t. If this book works for you, that’s good. But it ain’t it for me. I had a hard time trying to enjoy this book but it was just all too messy for me. It had come to the point where I couldn’t understand a single thing about it. Like i repeatedly asked myself, “What’s going on? What am I reading? Where am I??” I’m sorry.

Writing is not the best and I don’t like how they use brand references. But once you get through the few chapters it gets a little better and I was able to overlook it. Plot is not bad. The spice is great if you like dark romance. Give it 4.5 🌶️

when two of my fav queens come together to write a book, you know i’m about to devour that shit. this book just proves the power both meagan and amo hold. their writing separately and together is insanely intense.

reading a dark romance fantasy (bcus that's what this felt like) from them was something different and the same. both of them stuck to their unique styles but created a world of paranormal, fantasy madness. it was as if i was the one snorting that fae dust and tripping. this story was angsty, dreamy and so twisted. (although, the world-building was a bit confusing) but as their first time writing a fantasy book, this was so addictive.

knight was an absolute wet dream. a morally gray, dangerous lord from rathe that carries dark magic. from his dreamy looks, his ruthless honesty to his swoony recklessness. but as much as i felt that he was captivated by london, i felt as if he only fell for her because of their mated bond? as flawed and angsty as they are, they belong together. but i'll still eat up every angsty interaction they are going to have in book 2 because angst written by meagan and amo is like a nap that leaves you waking up questioning where tf you are. london was nothing less than i expected from a fmc written by meagan and amo. feisty, reckless, strong, confident, sassy. it was cute to see them both rejecting their bond only to be tempted by one another. but damn, that rejected mates, enemies to lovers really kicked in when the last chapter happened. like wtf. that cliffhanger was rude.

EDITED:

Okay, if I could give 2.5 starts I would… I still agree that the edited was annoying as in little things like punctuation… also why are there so many incomplete thoughts…

That being said I ended up having to read the second because dammit I paid for these books and I’m going to finish them.

……………………………..

DNF

Poorly written

Inserting f**k every other word… I’m interested how short the book would be if they were all removed….

I’m so annoyed I spent money on these two books…

I never had any doubt that this book was going to be absolutely fantastic! Knight is deliciously wicked and London is straight up badass. I’m so obsessed with this book and the world it created. I’ll be anxiously waiting for book 2!
