fairy version of beauty and the beast
It took me a long time to start this but I couldn’t put it down once I started it! It was a engaging and fast paced read.

I liked the ideas in this story and will most likely read the second one!
The edition I read had some mistakes though, people's names being the wrong ones at the wrong times happened often (Eammon being called Eammon when the POV character didn't know that name and called usually called him Stone). As well as new characters being named when there was no way the MC would have known their name. Didn't like how the evil twin seemed like a different character within the same chapter.

I thought this book was ok. Some points were interesting, but in between those moments it was very slow moving. The romance felt rushed towards the end of the book and didn’t seem like a natural progression.

Maybe like 3.6ish? I loved the idea and the world/magic and there were some great characters (Bran) but it felt like it was missing something.

Pleasantly surprised by this book! Loved the folklore twist on this retelling. Looking forward to reading the second!
