Excellent. Highly recommended read for any of my fellow members of the Church of Jesus Christ. Great suggestions for more collaborative ward councils.

I listened to this book. Wendy has some great nuggets in here. There were many moments I wished I was reading it so I could highlight quotes from it. So many good reminders of how much our Savior loves each and everyone of us.

Excellent book on women and the priesthood. The author broke down each priesthood office and how women are a part of the work of that office. It was all very well done, with great examples and inspiring council. The book was more than just placating women with a reminder that they get to have the babies and patting them on the head. I really recommend this to anyone who wants to understand more about priesthood power be it men or women.

I have enjoyed every Wendy Ulrich book I have read and this was no different. She has a real way of revealing truth, explaining ideas, and symbols that resonates with me. In this book, her focus is on the priesthood and how both men and women can better understand it and use it in their lives. While the focus is skewed more towards women I felt anyone could read it and find benefit. Especially in the second part where the focus is on various priesthood offices and how they have evolved over time.

I feel she tries to walk a fine line and make the book accessible to those who have struggled with the male-dominated nature of the priesthood and those who have no problems. It is not an agitating polemic but nor does it ignore the pain some have felt. This is less doctrinal than other books on women and the priesthood but it is very readable and the concepts stick with you.

This is a book to be slowly studied and digested. It is full of research and wisdom and I think everybody should read this book that would better like to understand their role, male or female, regarding the Priesthood.

I’ve never had a problem with woman in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints not being able to “hold the priesthood”. The way the author explains how I do, in fact, have the power of the priesthood and am authorized to use the priesthood in different circumstances and capacities is empowering. I’ve read this through once very quickly and have now gone back through at a slower pace to pick up more details. To any woman that thinks our church places you “under” the men because they hold priesthood keys, needs to read this book. The Lord and leaders of the church honor and revere women, as evidenced by the quotes and references from talks and scriptures. Absolutely wonderful read.

This is not really a subject I have personally struggled with, but I love how detailed the author is when explaining each aspect and responsibility of the priesthood and how it ties in with women of the Church. I will definitely be rereading this as the details are very informative and thought provoking.
