This book is amazing. The amount of research that went into mental disorders and asylum work is amazing. The writing is phenomenal. Brandi kept me on the edge the entire time. I was hooked from the very beginning. I finished this book in 24 hours and I’m ready to start the next one. Chekiss and Niles are great characters. The things they did to end up in the asylum may not be agreed upon by a lot of people but I understand why they did what they did. Dessin is very intelligent and at no point did I feel like he was manipulating Skylenna. He does however manipulate others. He suffers from DID and he is the current alter of the host who I will not name. Alley because I had to read through the whole book to find out so now you do too. These characters have captured my heart and will hold a special place in it. Brandi thank you so much for not giving up when things got dark. I know how hard it is to fight through that. Your writing is amazing and don’t ever let anyone take that from you. Keep your light shining babe.

what the flying ########!!!!

**spoilers** Ok, so I don’t know. All I know is this book left me speechless and wanting more. Lots of triggers but I’m okay with that and going through a tragic story. I absolutely loved the concept and the main male character and how much he changed. It gave me a reverse harem without the reverse harem if you catch my drift. Girl! KEEP WRITING!!! The beautiful words you said about your mom and your sister is the reason I know you need to keep writing. You have come so far. You should be so proud of what you have done with this book. I am in love with the characters and story. Never give up!! The book rocked my socks off, I had a book hangover because I couldn’t put the damn thing down and I was up until 2 am reading it. I can’t wait for the second.

Read it pretty quickly because the writing was very simple. To me this was mediocre world building and could be good if it was elaborated on more. There were holes that I just kind of filled in. If there was more world build up it could be really great. I was confused at points.

World building is a big thing for me, so I will not be finishing this series as I didn’t connect with the world and the characters were just kinda ok.
