First book in the Coded For Love series and *****currently free on amazon.com and amazon.ca*****

This book is the story of Loren and Adam. It's part paranormal (genetically enhanced soldiers), part action, part romance. All parts are so well balanced that the resulting book is a must read, which sucked me into the whole series. I'm currently reading book 3 and still enthralled

The story is full of suspense, fast paced action, and quite a bit of heat and romance between the matched partners. It can be read as a stand alone, and doesn't really end in a cliff hanger, but you get some hints and will want to continue reading the next book.

Review coming soon....
This is book #1 in the Coded for Love series. Book #2 is Conquered Match. Book #3 is False Match. Book #4 is Desire Unmatched. Book #5 is Desperate Match.

I absolutely loved this book. The idea behind this book had me at a few questions I have for Miss Silver. How did you come up with the idea of genetic enhancement soldiers? I kept thinking about how Adam and Loren were so attracted to one another like a magnetic. Is that attractive due to the genetic enhancement?

This book grabs you from the first page and does not let go until the end of the month. It leaves you wanting more. I know this is my first book I have read about genetically enhanced soldiers.

I can not wait to read the second book, Conquered Match.

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.
Glad I didn't read the reviews first as I might have gone in prejudging. It seems it was released with a previous version so this review is on the latest.
I really enjoyed it, it is different to a lot of the genetic enhanced type romances that I've read.
Adam and Loren meet and there is instant attraction due to her being his 'one', his soul mate destined for him. They struggle against the inevitable pull of attraction as Adam doesn't want to be forced into marriage and children to produce future soldiers.
There was plenty of action and heated moments, the characters were engaging and fun and the story line kept me intrigued.
This is my first read by this author and I look forward to seeing what else she has written.

I had a few little niggles with this book.
The genetic matching thing isn't really explained. I know it might not bother some people but I like rules. Because it's going to take up heaps of space and potentially spoil the book I've put my questions/concerns as spoilers:
SpoilerI want to know how the genetic matching makes faster and stronger people, If a Program soldier has kids with someone who's not a match are the kids "ordinary"? Are they not quite as special as the other Program kids? Does matching make the kids more special in each generation? I want to know if the matching thing is like a psychic bond and if it is why don't any of the Program soldier have an ability. I also hope Ms Silver you explain that comment about staying young and fit for longer. Also if there are girls born into the program, why have NONE of them signed up?

I also wonder how Shep has managed to get in charge, he dismissed Loren's insight into Adam's location but said if they were married he'd let her into the meeting, so this genetic match that he lauds so much is dismissed, WTH? Also Xander, Rowan and Loren after being ignored go to London to rescue Adam and Shep is going to reprimand them for it. While I get chain of command is important, they acted on information he refused to hear.
But this could be personally influenced, I don't like Shep much. He was a total jerk about Xander, calling him a sociopath, and the bit I'd seen of Xander to that point I liked him, yes he is antisocial but he certainly seemed to have feelings to me.

Now Loren and Adam.

Loren was a journalist and there was some great set-up between her and another journo at The Post that got kind of dropped. I liked that she wasn't against family in the future and she was okay with compromising her old life and life in the base. I didn't like that she wanted to go to London with Adam. She has no military or weapons training what so ever.
Loren avoided being TSTL IMO, when she went to London, because a) she takes backup and b) going to London without Program support was the backup plan after they ignored them.

Adam is a bit of a dick really about his objection to having a match and it takes a real wake-up call in having to face the reality of his decision not to have kids (i.e. losing Loren) and a message from his mother. Adam admits he was really messed up by his mother and her reaction to Rowan's disability. I don't like that Adam just said no to Loren coming to London without explaining - especially since there was a good reason to say no. But that's just me I get sick of alpha heroes saying not to protect when the heroines are capable. In this case Loren's not necessarily capable so an argument wouldn't have needed to end in capitulation.

Adam and Loren were good together, Adam does have good reasons (at least in his head) to deny Loren, but the attraction between them is hot and the intimacy leads them both to work towards their HEA.

The villain. Not a secret, which worked well there was still suspense in the question of will they realise it's

or not? He was a fully fleshed person and his actions worked for me.

Good story, great set-up for a new series, and I'm looking forward to stories for Xander and Chase (at the least) and I really hope Xander turns out the way I expect.

I admit I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did. I've started new series and been greatly disappointed but I figured I would get it while it was free and read it whenever. I started and finished it in the same day! I didn't want to put it down. While there were some plot holes (like how these mentally and physically superior soldiers were deceived for over 27 years!) I still was able to enjoy this book; I even might continue reading the series just to see how everything's going. The only thing stopping me from doing 5 stars is the plot holes. I just couldn't get over them.
