There were parts I didn’t understand nor like, such as the plan that gets developed near the end. Considering that the characters have known each other for only about a month, they were really quick to rely on an assumption and was already pretty weak in itself.
Nonetheless, I’m not one to abandon a book series and will be reading until the end. I’m not jumping at the need to move forward, but I am excited to see where the story goes.
Moderate: Child death, Death, Physical abuse, Slavery, Torture, Police brutality, Death of parent, and Murder
Minor: Suicide

Finally! This book broke the reading slump that Babayaga had put me in. I was hooked on this book from the first page and I’m so mad at myself for sleeping on it for so long. It was one of those super hyped up books that I couldn’t bring myself to read at first because I didn’t want to be disappointed. I just want to scream from the rooftops about how much I love this book because in this case, the hype was so real. I already have all the books in my wishlist on Amazon, ready to be bought.
Moderate: Bullying, Confinement, Death, Genocide, Gore, Physical abuse, Torture, Toxic relationship, Violence, Blood, and Grief
