WOW... I can say with complete honesty, I have never wanted to throw my Kindle so hard in my LIFE. PREPARE for this one folks. I can't stress that enough, clear your calendar, grab some tissues, some chocolate, a blanket to cuddle under... This one has all of it! This is a stand alone but BEST read with the rest of the Fallen Men books. King Gallo is just THE guy every little girl dreams of, and Cress is the only woman he's ever needed more than the air he breathes and their story will absolutely grip you, like reach into your heart and squeeze. Fair warning, hold on for the ride and see it through, this author keeps her promises. Its a book you won't soon forget, the words will bury themselves that deep!

I felt like this didn’t need to be a 10+ hour book. It could have been half that IMO.

So if I’m being honest I feel this book could have been a 120 page novella the first half of the book was basically just book 3 from king and cres perspective which wasn’t needed imo the second half was really the new plot heavy part of the book but by the type I got to it I had lost interested and didn’t give me the emotional impact I was hoping for

It felt so repetitive and like nothing was happening.

I love the mind of King. Seriously - he is a beautiful human being and has an amazing way to express his feelings. I love the relationship between him and Cress. My heart about cracked in half but man what a beautiful story. I would have liked to have seen a bit more angst, which is the only downside I'm finding in this book. I feel like it didn't keep me on my toes as well as the previous books in this series. Still - loved the story and love this couple.

WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO RIP MY HEART OUT. I have never felt so angry and sad while reading a book. 10/10 would do it again.
