a dark and emotionally challenging story about finding yourself after spending your whole life moulding yourself in to what someone else demands you to be, in the midst of grief and mental illness, in an industry that only cares if you’re making them money. really interesting and beautifully written. hearing jennette’s thoughts through each moment being recounted was interesting and vulnerable. it felt like a story of importance, that needed to be told. hard to put down but i did have to take a break in the middle as it was so hard to listen to, but listening to it read by jennette herself felt very impactful. definitely worth a read.

Harrowing, hilarious, and relatable. A deeply troubling and deeply healing familiar narrative for the children of impossible and abusive mothers.
