Like many others, I was prompted to read this collection after developing a curiosity for the Gentleman Thief as per Netflix's Lupin.
Arsene Lupin's quips in each tale lured readers to sustain interest as the story unfolded. Lupin's ingenuity makes him very likeable. I particularly liked his banter with Ganimard, and how effortlessly he made the Inspector appear like a fool and for that reason, The Red Silk Scarf was my favourite chapter in this collection!
Personally, I found the writing style verbose which did not appeal to me and steered me from engaging with the book as much as I would have liked to. Perhaps I will revisit this book at a later time with an updated rating. Overall, I certainly recommend this book to anyone who is thrilled by mystery and a witty storyline but be cautious as the writing style can be a tad strenuous.

This was fairly amusing but I would've enjoyed it more if all the female characters hadn't been air-headed, weak, and constantly fainting ninnies. The sexism is strong here.
