This book only looks like it took a long time to read. I didn’t finish it the first time I checked it out of the library and then had to wait through the rest of the wait list to finish it. I found some of the therapeutic exercises a little “woo-woo” for me, but the overall information was excellent. I had picked it up to help parent my HSP only to discover I have many HSP traits myself.

This was a nice read to learn more about being a highly sensitive person. It gave thorough explanations of the good, and the bad side of being a sensitive person and had a very thoughtful presentation on how to reframe past life experiences with the new information using exercises. Examples of other people's experiences helped show what the author was discussing and they didn't feel made up which some other books seem to do.

Not a top book in my opinion, but a good read for those who want to understand more about HSPs whether it's themselves or someone they work with or someone they love.
