Starting with the destruction of Lavinia Lake's antiquities shop by a Mr Tobias March who is in pursuit of a killer and determined to save Lavinia from possibly herself. The two end up teaming up in London and find themselves sharing adventures and terribly attracted to each other.
It's a fun read, nothing to get terribly excited about and if you scratch the surface there are a lot of historical inaccuracies lurking but for it's type it isn't bad.

My first Amanda Quick novel. Found it to be an okay read. My review: http://bit.ly/bCwYPR

Very enjoyable book, though a bit unsatisfactory as a romance. Or rather the romance felt like kind of a sub plot to the rest of the action. But I enjoyed the rest of the story I didn't mind really. There was a bit too much "Now I'll explain everything to you" from villains at the end, but otherwise a fun read.

I do love Amanda Quick. The quick jumps between scenes without gaps or indication. Made for some confusing 😕 translations, but I figured it out.
More of a mystery than a romance, but I look forward to tgd rest of the series and how thd relationship grows.
