Second chance romances are slowly becoming my cup of tea and this one did not disappoint! Following the story of Cyn and Cell, we walk through their relationship both past and present to see how meant for each other they are. With the help of their friends and family in their small town.. a HEA

I did not like the writing style. It had very little depth. The characters and story were 2 dimensional. It was mostly tell and very little show.

I’m down for a weak story when the spicy scenes are top tier but the spicy writing was mediocre at best. This was my first read from Meka James and I made my way here because of booktok spicy recs. You really can’t trust booktok! I will not be reading any more from this author.

This book had me frustrated at so many times however, I still really love this, and I adore what the author did with the story, and how it gave me all the fuzzy feelings at the end. The characters were lovable, but the main female character was really the one that made got me frustrated most of the time.
What I love about this a lot is that it feels like it is something that could really happen but in this case, we get a happily ever after.

I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the setting, the plot, the characters, the blending of families and the dual pov. I also liked that the author embraced that a man isn’t always the person that has to apologize. The family dynamics were relatable and realistic.
