Enjoyable as ever, and having some of the stories of the new first form, with Sally's sister Daffy, really added to the fun. Daffy was a pleasant addition, and having Willow involved, plus Alice's mystery (which I myself didn't actually see through, as it's been some time since I've read the original series) made for some less recycled stories. This made this particular instalment stand out as my favourite of the new series.

These books always give me feelings of nostalgia, I always loved reading about Malory Towers! In this one, people I remember from the Darrell series come back and they are more mischievous than before. While it's quite old-fashioned now, these little books are lovely quick reads for anyone who used to read boarding school stories.

A nostalgic tale that takes me back to my childhood.
