Slightly disappointing conclusion to this series. Lots and lots (and lots) of battle scenes, which is to be expected, but not as much explanations on the Drasin and their allies as I was hoping for. Plenty of loose ends and scope for yet more books in the series, when I was expecting it to all come to an end.

What? That's it? But the bad guys are still unknown and out there, WTF?

The battle continues
The Drasin have come to destroy earth and it's people, but they find it harder than they expected. Captain Weston, is still up and kicking. But help is coming.

The story is very good, on par with the previous books in the series, but changing narrator was a really bad idea. He completely changed all characters, showing no respect for all that has been built in the previous 3 books. Lots of characters now have a Texas accent for no reason (being that many are NY characters), and he managed to change Eric from a joy to listen into Batman with a sore throat and huge migraine. Disappointing and annoying.
If you have to change the narrator for any reason, at least be respectful to the previous work, unless the change was because nobody liked the previous work, of course (not the case here at all)
I am sad that the next book it's also narrated by this guy :(
My rating here is for the story only, not the audiobook.

It was hard for me to get into this book at first because I had a hard time remembering what had happened in the previous books of the series. The rapid switching between characters also made it hard to get into. But once it started to flow better it was more enjoyable. I would have given it a 3.5 but it didn't really seem like the final book of the series. The battle was finished but not the war and none of the mysteries brought up when Odyssey found the Dyson sphere were addressed. If this really is the last of the series, I'll be very disappointed.

This book felt a bit more repetitive than the previous ones, I still enjoyed it but it was a bit long for me.

It's not going to win any literature awards; pretty much the entire book is a single running battle. But it is fun, quick, and engaging. It is the perfect brain candy book.

This story was "balls to the wall" action, almost the entire time.
From the previous book...I thought a main character had died...in world, so did EVERYONE else. It was like he was TOO stubborn to die.
BUT, the way that he survived was so much fun to read about. It was SUPER satisfying.
I am liking the Priminae more and more, but like all NEW friends, I am holding back, just a little...and I hope to be proven wrong.
We still do NOT know who the REAL bad guys are. We've seen little bits and pieces of them, but I feel that THESE are the Others that were first mentioned at the beginning of this series. This threat of the Drasin, is ONLY the drones of this other group of people. I believe that they are the Others of the Priminae.
Now that the Priminae are bulking up in a military fashion, I'm hoping that they do NOT turn to their pacifistic ways, right when they need to press forward to find their true ENEMY.
Hopefully the Earth's courageous will encourage the Priminae to press their advantage...while they have the tech to do it.
Also, I do hope that the Terrans (Earthers) can create a NEW Odyssey ship, that merges the pluses of the Priminae ships, but retains the classic greatness of the old Odyssey ship. I missed that in this story.
Great combat scenes, whether it was Gundam to Drasin, or ship to ship, or whatever...it was a LOT of fun to read.
Also, we were introduced to a good group of new faces, and I do hope that a lot of them return in the next story, too.
