This book was one of my top books so far this year. It's so disjointed and ranting and it's beautiful and cathartic. It doesn't really make the most sense but it is so strong willed. I love love love when you can put yourself into the hands of an author and say: take me there. And Russ killed it. Also. It's very funny. I loved it.

This was not my cup of tea. It read just like a female-written Samuel Delany, and I don't care for Delany either. I spent most of the book feeling like I had no idea what was going on.
That said, there were moments that were interesting, and I certainly feel the railing against the experience of women. I like to think that in 2024 we have made a lot of progress, but those experiences are still painful to read about. There is a long, long way to go.
The only sci-fi part of this is that characters are showing up from parallel universes. There's very little about the technical aspects - it's just something they know how to do. So I'd say this is much more a social/political novel than a sci-fi one.
Obviously my opinion is just my opinion. I guess I'm glad I read it, but having read this and Souls, I am not sure when I will pick up another Joanna Russ book.

Me ha interesado algún momento de la lectura, pero el resto y el cómo está contado me ha resultado muy aburrido.
