Fun! Read this one to my storytime kids and they giggled at the wrong letters, and were very good about knowing what animal on the page the letter of the alphabet actually represented.

Great for learing ABCs.

A is for Salad is an alphabet book with a twist, the twist being that the letters and the words given don't match. Salad clearly doesn't start with an A but the funny part about it is that the animal included in each illustration is the part of the pages that match the letter for that page. So, on the A is for Salad page, the alligator is eating a salad. On the B is for Viking page, a beaver is dressed in Viking garb. This book is precious to me and I plan on using it in my classroom for the alphabet of course. I think it is more than most alphabet books because it requires kids to look at the page and decide what part of it actually matches the letter for that page. It will get them thinking about animals that start with each letter and does it in a funny way.
