After watching Torchwood: Miracle Day on TV I picked up this book at the shops because I thought it would be quite an interesting read (edit: to make it a bit clearer both feature the living dead idea...). So far, I love the Phoebe perspective, she's a 'goth chick' who sees people for who they are regardless of their...biotic state, you get the music and the look featuring throughout, something which, in books that I read anyhow, is new. The book had a segregation theme present in most 'high school' style books between people who are 'normal' such as the football team, and people who are 'different' such as Phoebe and best friend Margie, but in addition to this you have the differently biotic (dead) kids thrown in, which brings a whole new take on things. Everything seems to be amplified.
