When I'm at 10/10 anxious, I can't read with my eyes, so I'm thankful for audiobooks. In this installment of the Ruth Galloway series, the gang goes to Italy! Love a shopping episode. There's a surprise shocking ending that leans heavily into the soap opera element of the series, but whatever. After 10 books, though, I'm ready for the "will they or won't they" to resolve. Let's try in #11.
Graphic: Injury/Injury detail, Death, Murder, Gun violence, and Animal cruelty
Moderate: Fatphobia and Car accident
Minor: Body shaming

Liked going on this international trip with Ruth and company. The change of scenery was neat. Definitely less archaeology than other books in the series so far. Some big developments that I look forward to seeing in future books. Loved the addition of Laura’s perspective but although I feel for her, I’m not sure how much I like her.
Graphic: Murder
Moderate: War
Minor: Animal death, Child death, Fire/Fire injury, and Xenophobia
