This book is beautiful and fable-like. It rings like a story you’ve heard many times.

Gorgeously illustrated with a touching story of love, resentment, family, and dreams this is a graphic novel I will revisit again and again.

A very slow burn sci-fi romance story. Entirely too much time is spent explaining the Slightly Different From Our Own world where the sun has gone out, meaning people's senses of day and night have disappeared.
We see the story through the eyes of a mining town where they believe a former citizen is responsible for blotting out the sun, and take their frustrations out on his abandoned wife and child.
The art and story are an excellent match, as they're both technically sound but the color scheme, like the story itself, is fairly drab and didn't inspire me to keep reading.
While it conceptually, and pacing-wise evoked a Ray Bradbury vibe, it lacked interesting or stylistic dialogue, and the narration was incredibly dry.
If you like slow-burn sci-fi with a bit of romance, check this out. It wasn't for me.
