I loved the concepts in this book and enjoyed it a bit more than the first! There’s a lots of violent dark stuff happening which made the feel a bit different than the last. I also really enjoyed the different povs. Not much else to say honestly, just excited to finish the series now.

Wow, this was a hard book to read. I certainly did not expect picking up this YA fantasy would mean delving into pain, grief, war, and other terrible things. While a challenging read in many ways, it was also incredibly enthralling and really made me want to keep reading. It's been a long time since a book held my attention in such a manner! I'm very, very interested to see where these various plot points land...
