I really wanted to like this book. But the whole story-line is because a husband and wife don't communicate. I hate those kinds of story lines: all based on supposition instead of fact. Talk like adults. But then, I guess there would be no story. I read a few of the twists - they were good! But I cannot get past non- communication.

I am glad this book is finally over! I hate not finishing books so I persisted. This book has way too many twists, the ending not predictable due to this but makes the storyline over the top and far fetched. None of the main characters are fully developed so you end up not liking any of them. The narrative is poor and scenes aren’t very descriptive. Wouldn’t recommend.

If you’re reading this because you read Thirteen, don’t. The writing didn’t feel as good and almost as though Cavanagh was so obsessed with getting his twists in that he sacrificed the actual story. Though, it certainly delivered the promised twists.

Wasn't for me, different from what I'd usually read so struggled to get into it

I really enjoyed the writing style of the author, as well as the story. It took a bit to get into the story, but the twists and turns made for an intriguing read.
Graphic: Gun violence, Violence, Suicide attempt, and Murder
