DNF @ Chapter 19.

I don't think I'm into urban fantasy. The world building is descriptive and immersive and it feels overwhelming for me. I stopped at around 30% of the book and I was still confused with the hierarchy and the functions of the titles. There are more characters being introduced and my mind can't seem to keep up.

I really tried to like this as this has been on my TBR for awhile now. But I was struggling to read this and it's obvious that I'm not enjoying this that I had to DNF. I'll probably pick this up again someday and hopefully I'll be into urban fantasies by then.

genuinely i think the best book i’ve read all year. i liked it so much i had to finish it at work. 100/10 im actually so unwell it was insanely good
