i hate red flags irl but when it’s fictional and it’s adrian volkov…? now that’s a different story!

adrian and lia’s relationship is so toxic, i love it because of how iconic it is. this book gave us so many good moments: adrianlia origins, the birth of jeremy, and the whole tense as fuck overarching plot and all the mysteries!! also the ending in this one??? it has me on the edge of my seat no matter how many times i’ve read it!!!!

I did not really enjoy this book as much because I didn’t like that Adrian forced her into marriage and got her pregnant on purpose. I felt like he was somewhat abusive during this time. She had serious mental health issues and he gave her no freedom.

While I liked getting to learn more about the characters’ pasts, I’m disappointed that we didn’t get to see anything from the present timeline. :(
