As always, I start a book by TJ Klune thinking that I am not going to like it and then I end up crying of happiness, sadness, nerves, and annoyance. I liked this book, but I have to say that there wasn't a lot of main plot advancement in the first half. I still loved it and the characters are always the best.

Robbie, simply the best thing about this book. He is broken, he does not know which way to go, he does not know what it is and what is not true, and it is quite a journey to read his story. I laughed and cried and got mad with him. I didn't have it on my radar when I read the first two books, but now I esteem him very much and adore him. I am very proud of Robbie and I hope these books end with a happy ending.

Kelly, I can't handle the cuteness and beauty of him. I love his patience and understanding. But poor baby at the end of the book. I only ask for happiness for everyone, it is not so much to ask for TJ.

Everyone's relationship with Robbie is cute and pure. In the book, everyone has their moments with him where they connect, forgive each other, love each other, and remember each other. Very beautiful how everything was handled.

I don't know what to say anymore, my heart goes out to everyone in Bennett's pack. I hope the saga ends in a happy ending because it is what they deserve.

Okay, this might be my favorite Green Creek book yet. Maybe? I don't know, it's hard to pick a favorite. There were so many ups and downs in this book, it was a true emotional roller coaster. Kelly and Robbie are absolutely perfect for each other, and there were so many moments where my heart just broke for them.

Plus, the pacing for this book was spot on. I just couldn't put it down. I need everything to be okay in the end! I just need it!

(m/m, ace mc, werewolves). This book is excellently eerie.
When I started it the first time, I was convinced we’d gone back in the timeline.
Satisfying romantic ending. Excellent set up for the sequel. I love getting more of Chris and Tanner, and I love the pack getting gayer. I’m also pleased with the ace representation.
The kids are appropriately terrifying.
I adore the self-awareness (gayest pack ever, self sacrificing assholes, gratuitous nudity).

When this book started, I was SO CONFUSED, but once it clicked what kind of story this was going to be, you bet your ass I was on board. The angst? I shouldn't have expected anything less from TJ Klune.
This book tended to alternate between the relationships and the plot a good bit more than the previous. Sometimes it felt as though the plot was all that was happening, then other times we were only looking at the relationships between the pack members, which did mess with the pacing a bit.
As for the main relationship, I love that we had a romantic relationship with an ace character involved. Kelly gained quite a bit of depth in this story and I really appreciated that he had more to give to the group than being asexual. His determination to win back Robbie was so sweet and being so protective of him just made me cry. Also Carter?? That weird goof?? A perfect big brother character. I can't wait to read from his perspective.
Something else I find that I love as this series continues is watching the way all the other relationships have aged. Joe and Ox, Mark and Gordo, but also Chris, Tanner, and Rico. This pack literally owns my soul, okay?
The conclusion to this book left me a bit unsatisfied in comparison to the others, however. It always felt like something bigger was on the horizon, but this time, it felt like we hardly even reached the big bad. That does make me, even more, intrigued to see how the series will end though.
