I found this story to have detailed and in-depth world building, with the primary and secondary romance stories woven well throughout, where the first focused much more on the character and relationship development. This is not bad - I found myself interested in the world the author has built. I particularly enjoyed the secondary romance.
This story is female lead POV, well written and a genuinely interesting take on an alternate earth history. It is totally separate from the first - they merely exist in the same world and the characters appear not to know each other - meaning there are no barriers to enjoying it.
