Very readable

I work in a high stress mental health field. This book was so readable and paced it was great to read to chill out and lose myself after work.

First Thought when Finished: Mission to Murder by Lynn Cahoon took the mystery I loved from book 1 & dumped the pesky miscommunication issue. TOTAL WIN!

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated By Susan Boyce / Length: 8 hrs and 12 mins

Susan is a great fit for this series. She has a good mixture of fun, mystery, and spunk! This is a must do on audiobook for me series.

This is another series that I am so glad I started. I am really enjoying it so far. I'm glad there are a lot more in the series. Jill Gardener owns and runs Coffee, Books and More in the coastal town of South Cove, CA. She is new to town and has inherited a large house and property, and with that, the possible ruins of an old mission.

Craig Thomas, owner of the tourist spot, The Castle is doing everything in his power to stop her ruins from being declared a landmark. Jill is heard openly arguing with him and threatening him, so when he is found dead, she becomes a primary suspect. She happens to be dating one of South Cove's finest, Greg, who knows she did not kill Craig. Jill just can't keep her nose out of the mystery and starts digging in to Craig and his sorted past.

I love the characters in this book, and it's another one where the narrator really enhances the story. I will be reading more of these!!

This series is interesting but not super engaging. I will keep reading it because I like the setting and I'm getting interested in the drama of the town and around the historical relevance of the wall. The characters aren't set up to be my new best friends but worth getting to know better.

Enjoyable

Quick easy read...enjoy the characters and the quaint little town. Looking forward to the next installment, and the next mystery to be solved.

This cozy murder mystery is so delightful. Even though I do not enjoy the narrator who reads the books is not that enjoyable. I do enjoy the story lines and the characters. The Coffeehouse/Bookshop I adore.
