bedridden read #01, and i m very fond of this. sensual sometimes but very vulnerable, and the poetic craft is so clean but still invigorating. loved this a lot

hell yeah I was initially more sceptical than I was going into physical but it's interesting, whereas physical is a collection that I think is under threat of falling away in the second half, the poems of the second half of playtime seemed to me by far the strongest

anyway a delight to read andrew love him

I liked a quarter of the poems which is pretty good as far as poetry books I've read goes

uncomfortably intimate. enjoyed the exploration of masculinity, though not the graphic sexual detail.

favorite poems: “things said in the changing room” “transplant” “watching the students” “boxing booth” “blood” “anaphora penises” ”priest” “train”

I read this in one sitting within an hour and absolutely loved it. This collection is so raw and honest and exactly what the world of poetry needs. Can’t wait to pick up ‘Physical’ as I can’t get enough of Andrew’s words!!!

I deliberately take my time when reading poetry, but once I reached the second part of Andrew McMillan's intimate and stark portrayal of sexuality and self I couldn't stop myself from devouring each new encounter, deconstruction, and self-reflection. Superb!
