Dark like the usual Poe stuff but this time with a bit of light hearted undertone.

As a short story it’s more of a logical puzzle than it is a narrative with fleshed out characters, but the mystery is well told and it’s hard to comprehend the sheer impact that The Murder of Rue Morgue had on defining the mystery genre as a whole

Once again, a heinous crime with no possible solution is solved by simply expanding one’s thoughts to include players heretofore dismissed as outrageously improbable.
