this was a super unique set of short stories! i really enjoyed most of them. there were a few central themes/aspects uniting a couple of them. a lot of the short stories left me wanting to keep reading them. there were a few i could have passed on. overall, a strong collection!

Thoroughly enjoyed these stories; I felt that melancholy Floridian pull amid so many other nostalgic, bitter, and sentimental evocations throughout these narratives. I am excited to read Peynado’s subsequent work.
