i don't think it's such a bad guide to keeping a diary. up to the middle of the book there is a story mixed with advice from nikki on how to keep a journal, then only free sheets for notes. one of the only bad advices nikki is giving to the reader is to write in diary everyday, but if one made themself do such, then it would have become too much of a duty for it to be actually fun and relaxing. overall other advices were fine and genuine.
