I was unironically a horse girl in elementary school and 8 year-old-me thought these books were so cool.

I liked the book enough to place a request for the next volume at the library, but I was still a little disappointed with the cookie cutter plot. I was hoping for more horsey stuff and less of Sasha studying to keep up in her classes. I am still enamored with the thought of actually getting to take a horse to boarding school. I wonder if I can take mine to the nursing home?

Easy reread (for like the 6th time), just for funsies. Used to be my favorite series when I was a tween. When I was 11, I could practically read 4 of these in one sitting! Really helped me get out of my reading slump since it was so simple and nostalgic; maybe I should read middle grade more often?

I used to read this series in middle school. I loved them, and even my friends who didn’t grow up riding horses loves them. This series inspired me to get back into riding and look around boarding schools for riding. I desperately need a new adult version of these kinds of books.
