⭐⭐⭐⭐

A super slow burn, sweet (no sex scenes) romance with a female lead gone mute from past trauma and a handsome, nurturing sports agent who wants to help her to regain her voice.

I won this book in a giveaway hosted by the author. This is the fourth book in Paradise Cove, a series of standalones and at some point I will probably go back and read the others which focus on other couples mentioned in this book.

I can’t get over how much I loved this book! Thank you Santana for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

You may try to bury the past. But the past doesn’t always stay buried and can come back to haunt you.

Max has never been one for love. His main priority in life was being the best sports agent he could be. He had worked hard since changing his major after realizing his dad was a fraud. Now he had a thriving sports agency with a few hefty names on the list. When you are dying to be the best sports agent, you only go after the best of the best. That’s what drew him to that small Virginia town that fateful night.

Ever has not had an easy life. After her mother and grandmother passed, she was tossed around into foster cares and foster homes one after the other until she met Bobby. Mr. Tall, dark and handsome. He had a charisma about him that Ever found attractive. He seemed to offer her love and unconditional support which for someone in the foster homes, can be hard to come by in some instances. All that charisma that Bobby seemed to hold covered a deep dark secret. One that would cost Ever her voice and almost her life.

I loved this book from start to finish. I was smiling like a fool and my stomach definitely dropped, filling with butterflies and a few other things when Max called her baby for the first time. It had been such a hard fault battle so when he finally spoke that small world, I could help the way I felt. Then the ending? I had a feeling the entire book that Bobby wasn’t done but with so little in the book remaining, I was afraid of a cliffhanger but no, Santana wrapped up the book perfectly.

If you love slow burn romances, I highly recommend this book. It’s a great easy read and both Max and Ever are swoon worthy. Also I want another story on about Vaughn and Adrienne like now please! Over definitely a 5 star read. I love this book so much.

This is the type of romance that makes you want to be in love. With the type of characters you feel like you know personally or you want to.
