Instant book hangover.

I don't know what to do with my life right now.

I know what I want to do, but it's kind of hard to find a ship full of outlaws willing to let me join them on the high seas as we all search for adventure.

This book.

BRB drowning in my feelings. Better review soon.

While I like the characters and Archer's story arc is interesting. I sometimes struggled with how much the story jumps around. Still enjoying the premise and keen to see how the series ends.

DNF @ 16% I just couldn't get into it. I don't think I care enough about the characters to put in another 500 pages.

The thing I love most about this book is that a "few" characters are so interconnected between them, and their stories together have a lot of potential. Also the little spoikers they tell you, and how they read it in another way.

But I'm not sure what to expect of the next book and for me it was a bit boring how it ended, and plain in the way that it seems that little happened in so many words.

I didn't rlly like what Archer did, but it was very understandable.

This was an exciting sequel! A little slow but it had enough action and romance to keep me occupied! I can't wait for the sequel!

tfw a book/series is full of people and events that are all interrelated but you don't see the casuality and connections linearly and so you're just like omg wtf with every new twist and discovery and then you lie there wondering what kind of genius it takes to make all of that work

sorry I'm incoherent but I loved this book.

Sefia and Archer are probably my ultimate OTP of recent YA. *cries*

p.s. there are multiple queer supporting characters/couples, including a trans girl, and I am happy that this turned out to be a much more queer-friendly AU than most high fantasy.)
