I actually had so much fun with this lol. I found it loads more entertaining than the actual original novels. I doubt this was the intention of Meyers, but this made Edward even more deranged, weird, creepy, which as a result makes him actually more interesting than he ever was before. It’s very fun, especially if you don’t take it seriously and are coming from a place of love-hate for the series.

-i also liked this book in the series it was good i do wish i would've read this right before or after i read twilight but instead i read them in the order of there publication dates you still can read them based of the years they released i just personally would've found it better if i read midnight sun before or after i read twilight overall i did enjoy this book i loved how we finally got a look into Edwards pov i was happy that i got a understanding of his mind and how he thought and what he heard of others thoughts it made me feel a better understanding therefore i could enjoy his character allot i was always team Jacob but after these books it will always be team Edward for me i love this whole series i always watched the twilight series movies and enjoyed it but reading the books i enjoyed these characters more and now that the book series is over for me i honestly miss Edward and Bella like there real people overall i rated this book five stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-

Spoiler Reading about how Jasper handled James absolutely delighted me. Not only are his talents much more complex and powerful than Bella had ever known (cloaking himself in “boredom” as a disguise until the final moment) (cool as fuck), he was just so necessary for Edward’s sanity as they drove to the ballet studio. The way he forced calm on Edward via gentle touch to the back of the neck felt so caring and brotherly to me. So special. Jasper’s my new favourite, so underrated. Really cool to hear Alice’s planning too, how she thinks ahead and rearranges everything perfectly in her mind and props before it takes place. I also loved hearing right from the source how Edward’s life changed and how he felt happiness for the first time.

Much more interesting than twilight. Now I wish the whole series had been in Edward’s POV.

It's a very good book. It gives you a little more insight into Edwards thoughts and feelings toward Bella.
The plot is (obviously) very similar to Twilight which takes away some of the suspense.
