Like so many others, I was disappointed by the very slow build up to a single-sentence climax. The last chapter reads like LeGuin woke up late to turn in this essay and finished it on the bus.

Harvoin lopetan kirjan kesken, mutta tämä kirja herätti minussa ärtymystä. En kokenut hahmoja kauhean samaistuttaviksi. Minua lähinnä turhautti heidän käytöksensä, joka tuntui osittain liiankin todellista ihmisten kommunikoinnin vähyyden suhteen. Kirjassa olisi aineksia tunteiden herättämiseen, mutta sen jälkeen olo oli lähinnä mitäänsanomaton. En oikein enää edes muista, mitä kaikkea siinä tapahtuu. Juoni ei tuntunut oikein etenevän.

this is a story about being stuck.
