This memoir is hard and sad. I finish it just feeling so sorry for the author. It’s brave of her to write about it and I hope she does get to the bottom of what she is looking for. It definitely feels true to what it’s like to have the whole world pulled out from under you. However, this is the second book in a row detailing with excruciating accuracy what it is like to die from cancer. I’m ready for a break from that storyline so I’ll switch to something totally different hoping I can avoid it on my next book. Fingers crossed!

Super easy read/listen on audiobook. Interesting story and very linear storytelling. Gives good insight on complies family dynamics. The authors resilience is impressive.

What a wild ride!! The first half was a little dry, but it made sense because the author had to set the scene of her childhood. It was so sad to see that she is still struggling from the affects of having her identity stolen. I never would’ve expected how deep the issues ran. What a wild ride. It is absolutely amazing that the author has turned her struggles into a career and advocation for others. Her publishing research and speaking to others sheds light on such a stigmatized victimhood. I really commend her for such amazing work.
I didn’t expect to like this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a relatively quick read and i enjoyed it.
