I don't plan on writing a memoir but I really liked this book. I enjoy reading memoirs so understanding how much work, introspection, and technique goes into creating one was very interesting and humbling. Also, in general, the book includes a lot of writing tips that can be applied to other types of works.

It was fine, but despite being relatively short, it dragged in places. She has a great perspective and provides some useful insight, just be ready for some anecdotes that are tangential at best.
