This final Rockton novel was a bit disjointed. I found the pacing really off and the plot struggled to decide which lane to stay in.
For what was supposedly the last book of the series, we spent way too much time with new characters central to the main mystery, which was a disservice to the supporting characters we’ve come to know and love throughout the previous 6 books. I guess I understood why once I finished the book, but I just couldn’t really care what happened to any of them because they all seemed to be temporary filler until we get the meat of the next book.
