The Lightning Tree by Patrick Rothfuss

I think I don’t see the purpose of this short story, which is a shame because this is one of my favourite written worlds and Bast is an intriguing character.
The writing itself is very good and it can make you feel like you’re in that summer forest  yourself, but unfortunately this is one of the prime examples of no plot, just vibes and it didn’t work for me for this type of story.
I didn’t know that the Rothfuss’ latest release is an expansion of this novella, so I will read that in the future and hopefully it will have some more substance to it.

A nice little side-adventure in the Kingkiller Chronicles.

Bast is a very interesting character. Glad we got to see a little bit more of him.

A nice addition to the King killer chronicle world about Bast. But not a lot happens. Relaxing read and lovely writing style.

My first time reading Rothfuss, I just loved all the hidden-in-plain-sight details and the way he tied everything together by the end, while still leaving many questions unanswered. I'm excited to jump into the first book after this.
