Empire building, palace intreige, good guys with a cause, bad guys with little moral integrity, and everyone else caught in the middle. Up and coming new author Michael Penmore continues improve at his craft while bringing us a story full of realistic and entertaining characters.
Heroes are forged by circumstances. All it takes is making the choice to take action rather than doing nothing and being a bystander. Even villains can have a heart with a touch of gold to it, though they'll never admit it. And the lost? They can find a lot more than what they were searching for, if only they can trust in someone even when that trust might put everything at risk.
I can not recommend the story of Jane Poole enough. Is Michael Penmore the greatest author out there? Not yet, but don't lose sight of him or his work. I expect to see more good stuff to come.
