Even better and more philosophically complex than The Forgotten Garden

Okay, this isn't one of my typical review posts. It's more like a Kate Morton appreciation post and maybe some raving about The Distant Hours as well because, frankly, I loved it.
.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 by Kate Morton is a multi-generational novel filled with decades old mysteries, family secrets, and old castles waiting to be explored.
I always love Morton's books because of all the above things, but also because the protagonists are always so relatable, always have intriguing jobs that make me want to rethink my career choices, and always have amazing relationships with people of older generations, which I highly value.
.
Honestly, beyond that, I don't know what else to say. This book was engaging and wonderful. I was drawn into the mystery immediately and honestly didn't find one boring part. The only complaint I have with this book is the fact that it took me over a month to finish this one, but that's all my fault, so I can't really complain.
.
So if you enjoy multi-generational novels with hints of mystery and lots of family secrets, pick this one up!
