Heartbreaking story with beautifully well depicted characters.

I really loved this book. I always love interconnected characters with their own stories coming together and this book did it really well.
Nearly every book I’ve read set during World War 2 has been set in either France or England, so being set in Belfast was really interesting.

By Lucy Caldwell
Belfast thought it was over the worst of the war in April 1941 but then the bombing started, and over three days of shear terror, the Belfast blitz saw death after death and houses/streets turned to rubble.
Two sisters, Emma and Audrey, fight their way through the devastating effects of war on their city, of what is left of their city!
Caldwell uses lots of beautiful prose to describe the emotional effects of war and the physical damage that war has on individuals and the community as a whole.
Beautifully atmosphere! A tale of family, strength, and love.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!
