a true diamond in the rough kind of story
when humility and bravery come together in one character. I liked Shasta the most in this story.
I also love the return of the Pevensley siblings but as the kings and queens in action.

Remembered this as my favorite Narnia book and it’s easy to see why; it’s genuinely bleak and disturbing at times, and there’s no portal fantasy aspect making the book feel more grounded. But my god did I forgot how incredibly racist and Islamophobic the book is, probably because I didn’t realize it as a kid. There isn’t really any Christian lesson here like there are in the other books beyond “brown people with turbans are evil” which is wild and incredibly disappointing.

Un conte très drôle et inspirant, par contre c’est quand même un drôle de hasard que les gentils aient la peau plus claire que les méchants 🙃
