After a one-night- stand wouldn’t take no for an answer Nik “hires” Aria as his girlfriend to keep people from approaching him.

This is another one in this series that is just not for me. I’m just not a fan of instalove or unbalanced power dynamics in relationships, and I really did not like the way this relationship started. I liked that the story made more of an attempt to address these issues in the end, but these characters just didn’t really do it for me. 👥👩🏾‍🦱🌧

i knew going into ms hibbert’s back list was a dangerous game to play and i’m not sure how i feel after having done it. the best way to describe this book is awkward, it didn’t sound or feel like a talia hibbert book and i know for a fact this isn’t her best work. this book is what people on vacation is to emily henry. decent, but not great. the pacing and conflict between characters was off but the smut was great (the shower scene…) the book had its moments but it was overall meh 3/5

Hands down my favorite in the series - I really adored this couple and their shenanigans. Nik was immediately enamored with Aria, but it took her a moment to feel the same and goodness it was a fun journey to get there. They had hot chemistry and even hotter steamy times. Also, the toys were plentiful.

i gave it a solid chance but life’s too short to read bad books. this started off promising but i think i only liked it for the gay best friend. after that, the plot was weird and every interaction between the lovers felt disjointed. there was no connection. sexual attraction, yes (and they did not fail to mention this every other paragraph) but that doesn’t do anything for me. their conversations were weird and the writing is kind of bad. this series is…bad.

A sweet ending to a series

3.5 sweet stars/ I really enjoy Aria and Nik as a couple. There are some meh plot points and I feel the contrivance of their conflict a lot more than in Bad for the Boss, but my, oh my! They are super hot and this book was super fun to read.
