Yall know I'm a fake dating hoe and I'll die on the hill that it's not that unrealistic because people are so conflict avoidant and will do anything but tell the truth sometimes! Also, I don't blame them. Our society has pushed forward this idea that we should all be people-pleasers and that boundaries are somehow toxic, so like, I get it.

Anyway, I love the rebranding of the title, and the new covers for this series of standalone romances <3 This one was fun, but I don't know about the audiobook just because the way the narrators did the Greek accent was .. interesting. I'm not Greek, so I won't speak to that, but I will just say idk if it worked for me. Regardless though, I listened to this in one sitting hahaha.

Overall, this was another fun, sexy, hilarious romcom from one of my absolute favorite authors! Aria deserves everything and more, and Nik was swoon-worthy and super hot.

Talia writes the most kick your feet and giggle inducing romances ever. I love her so so much!

I loved how opposite these two were. And how they balanced eachother out while simultaneously getting the other to be able to be vulnerable and trust.

I'm not usually a sports romance person, but Nik definitely changed that. This man is just far too beautiful and sincere. An absolute himbo, and I love him for it.

Aria is so smart and gorgeous and TALENTED. I want a tattoo from her! It made me so happy that she

got to oprn her shop.

She and I also have a couple things in common, trust issues and ptsd. I understand how hard it is to allow yourself to love after such a big tragedy. And I was so incredibly proud of her for allowing herself to love and be loved and to trust again.

I think my favorite aspect of this book was the decades later epilogue.

Seeing them married and in love was so precious. And their daughter also experiencing her father's and grandfather's love at first sight moment was so special. My heart soared when Nik said he'd get her the ring tomorrow.

I had so much fun while reading this. Even if at times the futbol guys were a bit much. Like omg did it feel like a frat house in Spain 😂.

This struck me as super cute! The ending was adorable, his himbo energy was adorable, her fiercely loving self was super relatable to me, and the sexy scenes had me dang near sweating lol

The Fake Boyfriend Fiasco by Talia Hibbert is a contemporary romance and the third book in The Midnight Heat Collection, by the same author. This story is about Aria, a tattoo artist, and Nik, a professional football player. Nik and Aria meet at a party that's taking place at a hotel, when Aria kisses Nik to help him chase off an over zealous past hook up. Nik comes up with the idea that Aria can pretend to be his new girlfriend so his past ex's don't try to give him unwanted attention. Aria is hesitant until Nik offers her a very large amount of money to do the job, she accepts because she wants to use the money to open her own tattoo shop. Will this arrangement end in disaster?

Hibbert seems to use the

third act break up

trope in The Midnight Heat Collection more than I anticipated. That's the only thing I tend to not like about these books, but it makes sense in this instance because of the

lie that Nik told.

I think in comparison to The Roommate Risk,

Nik and Aria got back together way quicker so I didn't have to wait long for them to reconcile.

The audio book narrators were great, I like how much life they gave to the characters. Audiobook narration is the main way I consume books because I have dyslexia. It's always wonderful when a book I've been waiting to listen to finally gets an audiobook version and this was no exception. This was a great listening experience.

I really loved the spicy scenes in this, especially the one at the very end of the book, wow.

I really enjoyed this story and the spicy scenes were really good. Not only was this spicy but it was also romantic and funny. I'm giving this 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I wanted to read this book because I am patiently waiting to hear about any of Talia’s new work. I decided to try and read some of her old work and saw The Princess Trap all over the book community and released it was a part of a series even though the characters don’t intertwine. I was interested to see if this book was better than the Princess Trap and it didn’t live up to my standards. The Brown Sisters are just unbeatable.

This book has two points of view. The first is Nik Christou, he is a footballing legend, and he has led a charmed life. He is rich, successful, and internationally adored. No woman or man has ever rejected him until a tattooed goddess blow his mind and captures his hear with just one kiss and now, he is in love. But she is not interested. The second point of view is Aria Granger, she has always been distrustful of men and has a disdain of love. Her tongue is as sharp as her winged eyeliner. She knows from experience that Nik, like any smoking-hot himbo with bags of cash, is too good to be true – so she’s determined to send this walking temptation packing. Fortunately, Nik’s devised the perfect strategy to win his woman . . . what could possibly go wrong?

I will always love Talia Hibbert and how she manages to write diverse characters, serious subjects, sexuality and mental health. I love her for it. A bisexual footballer, who is just all in love and shy – yet is like a horny teenager around Aria. A plus-sized black tattoo artist, who knows exactly what she wants and is nervous and damaged from a previous experience. I love these two characters individually. I liked the character development that happened individually.

I just felt like this book was a bit rushed compared to the previous work and I really didn’t enjoy the insta-love connection. I just thought Nik was a bit effing for how he came out with the truth. I would have liked the ex-boyfriend of Aria to be explored more as it was only briefly mentioned and then the weird almost conflict with one of Nik’s friends with the homophobia, I would have loved that to be explored more because Aria just went down his throat and that was the end of it.

I will carry on reading Talia Hibbert’s work old or new no matter what and hopefully I will enjoy the next book I read.

umm first off THIS WAS HOT! like i think this is the hottest book by talia i have read to date. second off, THIS NEW COVER IS HOT. like i want to kneel at aria's feet and do whatever tf she wants because DAMN that woman is fine. the words that came out of nikolas' mouth?!??! that man was so down bad. i had a great time with this & honestly this is one of my top talia hibbert books.
