This was a cute short story about Calla and Jonah during christmas time, but it just wasn't necessary. I do normally like to read some extra stories about characters from books I liked. However, I feel like everything that needed to be said about Calla and Jonah has been said in the other two books and this short story would have been better if the pov was from Roy or a different side-character.

A cute and cozy Christmas novella. I cried, I laughed. I’m sad this series (for Calla and Jonah) is only three books. It’s so sweet, and realistic. And I love that once again this book leans heavily on community and found family.

Have you ever read book smiling, laughing and ugly crying, all three at the same time? Well, for me, that was my (so emotional) journey reading Forever Wild.

I discovered this series early this year and I absolutely adored the first two books, and even though I was really happy with the end that was showed in them, I was so damn excited about Forever Wild.
Calla and Jona are in my heart

This is an eventful Christmas novella. I enjoyed getting to spend more time with Calla's parents and finally meeting Jonah' mom and step-dad. I tolerated Jonah better in this book than the last one; probably because the main focus wasn't really on him and Calla's relationship. However, his inability to see things from anyone else's point of view is still infuriating. He still assumes that his feelings and values are the right and only way. I am also getting a little tired of a life-and-death rescue "solves" everyone's issues. Overall though, the storyline was sweet and enjoyable. Roy was a highlight, his grumpy self was so endearing.

Such a cute ending to the trilogy. I completely agree with K.A. Tucker's statement in her acknowledgments that Jonah and Calla's story has come to an end, and it's time to move on. I felt that even though this was a shorter novella, it drug on a bit. I wasn't sure what else should be added to the story, so I'm happy that the novella was the choice rather than a novel.

If you loved Jonah and Calla, you'll love this finale. It definitely wrapped up all loose ends, and added a bit more Alaskan drama to the mix.

My love for these characters knows no bounds. I am not kidding when I say I feel like if I went to Alaska, I could actually meet them. They’re that real to me. The fictional town of Trapper’s Crossing doesn’t feel fictional at all. And after reading these books, I feel like I’ve already been there.

These books, these characters, this story - they are my favorite of all time in all of life. I know they can never be topped. And this incredible novella was blissful to read and has me aching to re-read the entire series for the bajillionth time. It’s perfection in the truest sense of the word. I wouldn’t change a thing.
