Reviews with content warning for Death - The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches

This was a really sweet and cozy read, perfect for a cool fall day. I am a huge sucker for a found family book and the last chapter really made me smile. I loved all the characters, and despite there being so many, it felt like they all got some time in the spotlight which I liked. Was this a perfect read? No. Were things solved with incredible ease to the point it was almost silly? Yes, but that's exactly what I expected going in and had fun with it.

Such a good book! Very sweet and wholesome adult romance and found family story. I thought the author did a great job with the different characters and their personalities. The story was a bit predictable but still heartwarming. I did like the magical elements and thought they were incorporated in a natural way.

I read it around Halloween for the witches but should have saved it for November/December because there are more winter/Christmas/solstice vibes than there are spooky witchy vibes.

This is the first book in a very, very long time that I've managed to finish in literally two days. Incredibly charming, cozy book with great characters and a cute premise. The only reason I did not give this book 4 stars (to me, 4 stars is "I really like this book, it was very well-written, and I might reread it again) was because of the kind of poorly-written sex scene near the end. I'm already biased against sex scenes, so they damn well better do it right for me to not knock the book some points for it. High 3 stars because it was well-written, I liked the book, and I most likely won't be reading it again.
