Some of these stories touched my heart and brought a tear to my eye. Others were a little strange. I like that in a book - a mixture.
My favorite thought in life is included in this book, "She said she usually cried at least once each day not because she was sad, but because the world was so beautiful & life was so short."

The plumber was digging around
in the pipes & he saw something
shine in the muck & it turned
out to be the soul of the last
tenant.
He gave it to me & I said I
wonder how we can return it &
he shrugged & said he found
stuff like that all the time.
You’d be amazed what people
lose, he said.
a very strange but also profoundly human collection of tiny stories and drawings. it’s quietly emotional and sometimes absurd. one of my new personal favorites.

I want Brian Andreas to live with me and narrate my entire life. Everything in these books is so beautiful and touching and sad, I can't get enough. I'm shocked to find it on Goodreads; the experience of reading the series is so intimate that I was nearly convinced I was the only person to have discovered them.

Each page is full of wonder and beauty-- "After his father died, he carried his life more gently & left an empty space for the birds & other creatures."
